The South Korean manufacturer will announce its 1 nm technology at the Foundry Forum & SAFE Forum 2024 conference, which will be held in the United States on June 12-13. As for mass production, it is planned to launch in 2026, which is even a year earlier than expected. This sounds very optimistic, especially given the fact that the company plans to launch its SF2 production pipeline for 2 nm in 2025. If Samsung can meet the deadline, the company will overtake its competitors. Intel Foundry plans to begin mass production of 10A (1nm) in 2028, and TSMC plans to launch the 1nm process technology only by 2030. That is, Samsung has a chance to become a leader in the semiconductor race. But we still need to look at the level of quality and productivity of their future production.
