As you may know, Samsung is about to launch its new foldable smartphones at Galaxy Unpacked 2024, in what is a range of devices that shouldn’t be that different from what we already know, such is the amount of details that have already reached the Internet about both models.
However, according to new information, Samsung seems to be encountering some problems with the roughness on the screen due to the fact that the device bends.
It seems that the potential improvements that ultra-thin glass should bring have not been realized.
Therefore, contrary to what several rumors and leaks have pointed out, the new Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 foldables will feature a much more visible fold than what would be expected.
Don’t get this wrong… The crease will be as visible as the crease you could find in the previous generation. The problem here is that several rumors and specification leaks point to an improvement in this feature. Something that does not seem to happen in production units.
If confirmed, this is another reason why it will be extremely difficult to justify the expected price increase in Samsung’s new range of foldables.
In case you didn’t know, both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 should see their price increased between €100 and €150. However, according to all the ‘leaks’ and rumors, in addition to a slightly improved design, the reality is that Samsung does not seem to be able to present many weapons capable of convincing consumers to take the leap.
First of all, what do you think about all this? Do you think Samsung is exaggerating its prices, without bringing new “things” to the table? Share your opinion with us in the comments box below.
