One of the distinctive features of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone is the included S Pen stylus. This week there was a discussion on the Reddit forum about this accessory – it had an unpleasant odor. The author of the topic who reported this was supported by several dozen other Galaxy S24 Ultra owners. The manufacturer turned out to be aware of the problem – about a month ago, on the forum of the European section of the Samsung website, a moderator provided the following comment: “There is no need to worry about this. While the S Pen is in the holder, it is located close to the internal components of the phone, which during operation generate heat and cause the plastic to heat up. There may be a burnt (plastic) smell, but it is similar to the smell you get after leaving your car in the sun for several hours. The seats and plastic parts in the car may smell like hot (plastic), but the smell goes away as it cools.”
