Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S24 FE smartphone, which is the South Korean company’s affordable flagship. Visually, the new product is almost no different from its predecessor. The key changes are related to the device’s filling.
The device has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is powered by a 10-core Samsung Exynos 2400e processor, which includes one Cortex-X4 core with a frequency of 3.1 GHz, five Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of 2.6 to 2.9 GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz. The amount of RAM for all configurations is 8 GB. The permanent memory is offered in 128, 256, or 512 GB.
On the front side of the device there is a 10 MP camera with f/2.4 optics and autofocus. The main camera unit of the new product consists of a 50 MP main module with f/1.8 optics, Dual Pixel autofocus and optical stabilizer, as well as a 12 MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 optics and an 8 MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 optics.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has a 4700 mAh battery, which is 200 mAh more than its predecessor. The Galaxy S24 FE measures 162 x 77.3 x 8.0 mm and weighs 213 grams. It is slightly thinner than last year’s model, but slightly heavier.
The device also received IP68 protection against water and dust. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will be available in graphite, gray, blue, and mint colors. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE runs on the Android 14 operating system with the proprietary OneUI 6.1.1 shell with various Galaxy AI functions.
The Galaxy S24 FE will start at $649 for the 128GB version, while the model with twice the storage will cost $709. That’s $50 more than last year’s S23 FE.
